Being an international student who is far away from home is quite challenging and difficult in New York. I am really excited about this assignment because I really want to show my mother that what is my life in New York City. Therefore, I decide to go to six locations that are all on my way from the dorm to school. I hope my mother can feel my feelings in New York through my sketches. Also, I interpret “long lost found” individually. They are three different words to me. “Long” means that I haven’t seen my mother in a long time and I do miss her so much; “lost” means that I almost forget the feeling in my home country; “found” means that I find another new feeling in New York City and I am getting used to it. I drew all my sketches while thinking of my mother and I wanted her to know that I miss her.
