I attended the basic basketry workshop taught by a male professor on April 18th.
2. What skill and techniques were demonstrated / what specific information skills/techniques/tools/materials did you learn about? If the workshop was participatory, what did you make?
I learned how to start and complete a basket using a one or two-reed weave, and made a first attempt at doing so.
3. How might you apply what you learned to your work in this class? Was the workshop helpful?
I actually used the skills I learned in this basketry workshop to complete my inhabitable space project, weaving the yarn through the wireframe like a basket. It was definitely helpful, and a cool skill to learn.
