Internship Description:
I worked alongside the public programs department to execute different events of varying nature including live performances, book and film discussions, panels and more.
Who was supporting you in your work? How did you work with them? Fran Rosenfeld, Director of Public Programs @ MCNY. They advised me on all projects at the museum.
How has this project has been impactful or transformative — for you personally or for those this work has impacted:
It was really interesting to get a behind the scenes look at how programming is executed at an institution as large and prominent as MCNY. I learned a lot about the various moving parts that make up the industry.
What would you do differently? How would you advise a student who is going to do something similar?
I only regret that I did not have more time to dedicate to the museum, as I wish I could have taken an even deeper dive into the work.
