On Wednesday, September 25th my Media class and I were told to meet in Dumbo, Brooklyn. We were to visit Made in NY Media Center by IFP, a place that Id never visited or heard of. Upon arriving I was amazed by a large cafe, areas which people were walking and art displayed on the walls. It was interesting to see they had a library, sounds recording room and an auditorium.

I enjoyed both talks that were given to us by the artists and It was impressive to see how the media center was helping their achieve their dreams. I don’t believe it’s a place I’d use as I find The New School has different locations just like them that are free to use. Of course, this was a place where people outside of college were going to continue their art efforts. The IFP center is a good resource to have for people living in Brooklyn and are working on a major project with multiple people.

I have heard of many different spaces like IFP turning up around New York and I’m intrigued to see where it leads people in ‘how’ we work as teams.
