Janet Cardiffs tapes were very interesting to listen to while walking the designed path for that audio. It was a contrast between what was currently around me and the sounds that it emitted vs what I could hear in the audio. The tapes were general and specific enough that there were similarities between her experience and mine while walking in the park. She mentions a stroller and you can hear it in the background, when you look around you will probably see one. It was a very trip experience because while you are listening to her and the sounds on the recording, you are also aware of the movements and sounds around you.  It was a n interesting dynamic because some of the things I bought I heard outside in the world were actually for the audio and I would look round to find the source of it when really it was in the past. That was also a very interesting dynamic to notice, the past the present which is also the future, but not truly being able to differentiate the two. Her voice was very soothing and it seemed like she had practiced it several times because everything she said was so well measured and calculated to when and where the audio was. It was a beautiful day to walk around Central Park and take your time with the audio, to walk and to see people outside enjoying the setting sun and the cold fall breeze.
