I created my book based on the idea around To Kill A Mockingbird. It is about how a white guy stood up and fought for this innocent black man, for an act he did not commit. This was of course back when Racism was huge and very much practice. So I used an idea of someones innocence and how that can be corrupted for the wrong reasons. I used quotes from the book as well some from major African American activist Martin Luther King. I wanted to show that no matter how the odds are against you stand tall with your head high and be smart don’t go throwing your arms arounds like a wild man. Be a Gentlemen, a proper human being. Ignore all those people who have be blinded and corrupted because of misjudgment or belief. Like the end of my book says “hold your head high and keep those fist down”. My favorite page has to be the tree one with all the colors, a simple quote on one side and a graphic image of how I think about that image.
