For Project 4, I created a diffuser in the form of the planet Saturn. The idea behind the diffuser is the provoke the feeling of calmness and create a moment to “space out”. I wanted it to be decorative yet useful; so I played along with the space theme and built a world around it. The product lights up and can emit several different scents depending on which one is chosen. A pamphlet is also included to demonstrate different breathing exercises that reduce anxiety. Overall, I’m pretty pleased with my concept. However, it was difficult for to come up with a completely new invention…which is why I decided to play onto a diffuser.
