The Met Field Experience : Intro to Bridge 2

“Talking Pictures”

Manjari Sharman and Irina Rozovsky’s collaboration immediately drew me in, because of the physical size of the display, and I responded most to the play on light and color from the beginning to the end. There were tiny details that were though out, from the idea of starting with life, and ending with life, to the subliminal messages hidden in frame. Over the vast spread of photographs, the color palette seemed to bled effortlessly while somehow maintaining a distinct contrast. Similar to this, the composition is spastic and unorganized, but that seemingly created a feeling of peace and calamity. Intimate details reveal hidden beauties. This collaboration effectively shows the simple artistry in life, and inspired me to be excited to start my own conversation with images.
