In general, I believe that the statement “personal from political” really means that one is revealing the intimate details of their life(s) that others may consider taboo. For me, this statement could include my homosexual tendencies, the activities that I partake in, or even the OCD traits/habits that I withhold. Kahn reveals this idea through her visceral way of documentation, and what she is choosing to document in general. From intimate moments, such as childbirth, to weird/awkward interactions in chatrooms, Kahn exhibits an unfiltered view into her life. Through this, you are also able to gain some personal insight into her political agenda with snippets from the Tahrir Square protests to the inauguration of our current president Donald J. Trump.
