Bridge 2 Final – The Personal is the Political

Citizens of our country have been sitting back, watching our home perish for decades. Seeing the events that have taken place, and recognizing the amount of them, one can not simply ignore the fact that our world is going up in flames, right along with personal faith and dignity. We find ourselves in a time where humanity is questioned with the notion what freedom actually is. How did we get here? We were so advanced. Combating prejudice has never been easy, but in a world consumed by technology ignorance, spreads like a virus. Through our photo conversation, Gianell and I have been sharing our own personal messages relaying our personal attitude towards the political issues occurring right in front of our eyes. Along with this, we have opened up and shared what makes our lives political as a whole.

Working as a collaborative pair with Gianell has provided me with a new perspective, giving me a chance to better understand her and where she stands politically. Allowing myself to open up, gave Gianell comfort in sharing things with me that she normally would let anyone else see. Not only did this captivate me, but it brought us both closer and made it easier to communicate as a pair.
