Bridge 5 FINAL

Growing up is relative, and happens at different paces for everyone. Moving to New York City, and shifting into college culture, I found that meeting new faces, and expanding my inner circle proved to be the best way to make this place really feel like home. Now I see New York City for what it really is, rather than the romanticized version displayed in today’s movies and media. It’s a fast-paced city that makes you keep going, no matter what the circumstance is. Never look back, there’s no time for it. While I have learned important writing skills and key values in critiquing others, I realize that those skills are not the most important. This past semester has been one of personal growth and expansion, and my growth as a person and ability to adapt to such a crazy lifestyle is what I have decided to display as my Manifesto to Shift. The polaroid’s I have chosen to display is my way to visually represent the act of me coming out of my shell and meeting new people. That’s what New York City was built for, and over the past three months I have documented my growth through polaroid’s. I look forward to connecting with more people over the upcoming months, and hope to keep my polaroid collection growing for years to come.
