In our last Studio class, we were given the assignment to walk around the Bobst Library and check out a book that jumped off of the shelves for us. After exploring the floors of the emend building, I found myself in the Psychology section and the book “The Psychology of Gender” really stood out to me. With its forest green binding and gold leaf text on the spine, the book immediately grabbed my attention and I picked it right up off of the shelf. When I found this book, I was slightly taken back, because I didn’t realize that gender was actually being questioned that much to have scholarly journals published about it. Personally, I am not questioning my gender, but I have a lot o gender non-binary/ queer friends and I figured this book could shed some light on that area of society.
