This project is called love your garbage where I collected all my trash for about a month and then photographed it. I really didn’t know that I produced this much in such a short amount of time. I realized that there are so many things that I buy that come with a paper or cardboard box around it. For instance, all my snacks and little makeup products have the outside box that has zero use. I also have collected a very large amount of plastic bags from CVS and the UC.
I chose to photograph all my trash in my bathtub. I really wanted to highlight the volume of trash that I had. At first wanted to stack everything together but it didn’t look right. I then just mixed everything up and pushed it to one side. I did fix a few things to make sure every piece was showing in the frame. I placed all the plastic bags I had on the rim of the tub to resemble water.
