In-Class Group Work : In the first session for Semester II Fashion Studio, my group decided to make a hat all together as well as two pairs of glasses. The hat was designed by one of our group members, I was responsible for making the string of paper that connects the two bulbs on either end of the hat. I was also responsible for designing/making one of the two pairs of glasses. The pair that I was responsible for is the hair with the two doors over the eyes so as to inspire the concept of the eyes being the “windows” to the soul. I think that this process was very successful, my group was conscious of the fact that we all had our own strengths to add to the task and utilized these strengths to the advantage of the group.

Personal Adornment : Personal adornment, for me at least, is a form of self expression as well as a way to stay connected to important people in my life. I have various pieces of jewelry that I wear every day (even when I sleep). Each one carries personal meaning and significance whether it said significance lies within the design of the jewelry or the person who gave it to me.
