I’m still working on the last two panels for the second poem but I’m just about finished. The last illustration is the last drawing for the second poem… drawing rubble is mind-numbingly dull and takes forever. After my meeting with Lale, I’ve decided to narrow it to only four poems and the illustrations will mirror one another in length/amount. The first and third poems will be more illustration-heavy and the second and fourth will be more text-driven. My conversation with Lale last Friday made me realize that the poems are the main focus of my project, not that the illustrations aren’t important just the text drives the narrative. I’m still struggling with some outside things so its been very hard to focus on the work but I’m doing it and I will definitely have everything completed on time. I haven’t figured out what the layout is going to be, I said I would lay it out after I finished the first poem but since the second poem has fewer illustrations I want to be able to design the layouts in conjunction with one another that way they flow nicely.
