little self introduction
My name is Jialu, a first-year Fashion Design student at Parsons The New school. I was born in China and was raised up in China. At the age of 15, I was motivated by the American culture and decided to spend my school career here in the United States.
During High School, I found my interest in Art, and specifically fall in love with Fashion Design, and that is when I started to looking into Parsons The New School of Design. Throughout the summer, I did my Portfolio and submit my work to Parsons, and fortunately I was accepted into the school and get the chance to visit New York, my dream place since I was little.

The first serious I did is called Breathless, which was inspired by a serious of photography that were taken by Michael Wolf, a photographer.
The second serious I did was based on a movie called “A Train to Home”. China has a huge amount of people as many people know. Every year, especially during Chinese New Year, it is often really crowed in the train station. People carries a lot packages with them along the way.
