Long Life Design business practices

1) How does Kettl tea seem related to Long Life Design (which of the ten Long Life Design criteria does it seem to fulfill)?

I think the Kettl tea is definitely related to manufacturing, which states that the manufacturer has to be passionate about the process of making. As Zach mentioned last week, the entire process of him meeting the owner of the tea farm, and each little stories with them clearly showed the passion for both the owner and himself. In addition, the kettl tea also fulfill the criteria such as safety, environmental, and planned production.

2) Despite being a relatively new business, which of the Long Life Design criteria do you think it might be able to fulfill over the next 10 years, and why?

Personal point of view, the kettl tea would be able to fulfill Sales over the next 10 years, or maybe shorter than that. Even though it is a small business right now, but through the last visiting, I was really touched by Zach’z Stories with each owner, and his passion was clearly showed. In the future, i can see a potential that the company will run larger and hopefully everyone who sales the product will all have their own strong wills to convey its beliefs to consumers.

3) What are two questions you have for the owner (Zach) related to long-life design and/or sustainability?

1. By visiting the farm owners in person, and seen the process of making it, how is the tea made, and is it 100% sustainable throughout the whole process?

2. What is your prediction of this business in ten years?
