Final project reflection

For my final project, I did a linoleum print. It is an outcome of both my studio class and seminar. In the studio, I explore the material and generate ideas from other people. But for my seminar class, I go deep into my topic and collect information. So I could utilize the materials I have to create content that carries the information I learned while I’m researching.

The hardest part of this semester I think is at the beginning of my final project. It is hard to come up with a topic which I interested in because there are plenty. I figure it out step by step. At first, I was just researching any topic I’m interested in. From some specific events, I shrink my range of researching. And gradually, I started to focus on only one thing and come up with my thesis.

I would use the research skills in the future to collect ideas and enrich the topic of my work. I used to understand research as a way to get information, but I found out during this class that research is actually an important way to think and to see. Not only from books and the internet but also from observation.
