Using the five concepts by Lev Kuleshov, I was inspired to make this video. Using a blue lightbulb, the scene was set on the clear glassware and a mirror. Broke the egg and went with the flow accidentally ignoring my prior plans.

Editing: no color changes where done, just cutting and copying clips and repeating.

Concept: movement

 

I went through 3 versions of this piece in editing. In the end it was more efficient to stay true to my aesthetic. The different version did help me figure out the sequence and the movement I was trying to show.

I shot in the sun to create the contrast. I didn’t want to miss the opportunity with the white sheet and the depth it could create, especially paired with the harsh morning sunlight. I didn’t want my face in it so it could almost feel like you are the figure, that paired with the shot of the sheet itself, as if looking from the point of view of the figure on the inside of the cloth.

I titled this piece ‘glass’ for a meanings undisclosed.
