UNION SQAURE MAP

When walking through Union Square I assumed that people would be on their phones, but I didn’t expect the vast amount of people avoiding contact or conversation through the use of their phones. In today’s modern age I think that people use their phones as a barrier to stop interactions between themselves and an experience. Union Square illustrated my idea; everyone was on their phone, or used technology to make transactions. When walking we saw parents on their phones sitting next to their child on an iPad, when I was a child this would have never happened, it seems as if generations have forgotten how to communicate to one another, and now rely on a device to fix it for them.
