Visual Response for the Field Exercise at US

One of my favorite exercises this semester was being able to interview people who I now share a community with and seeing what they think of it and where they see themselves.

I was able to talk to a police officer, a Hare Krishna member, a “free-hugs” sign holder, and a store clerk who all had very different definitions and examples of the kind of communities they think exists and that they are a part of.

It is important to mention that these four individuals are not the only people I spoke with, but just the ones that were willing to talk to me and actually be expressive about their mindset and opinion. Many weren’t willing to speak at all and most gave very vague and small answers to my questions, eager for this interview to be over. I was lucky to finally find those four out f the many who were willing to participate and give meaningful answers.
