I believe that in this video the importance of providing spaces for pedestrian and public interactions is highly emphasized. Not only just for the bettering of the city and its environment, but for the bettering of its inhabitants and their health.
In this video, the speaker emphasises the importance of spaces that are beneficial and meaningful places and spaces for people that are not always ideal for commercial investment but good for the bettering of the city itself. She also emphasizes design, experience, and aesthetics as equally important in a product. The most important issues she discussed however, were related to a growing NYC and how as a city planner she has to deal with that.
In this third video, the speaker again focuses on the importance of having public spaces that are for people and people interactions. Free and and open spaces and places that allow people to move freely. A non-restricting space that is made for people rather than commercial or driving purposes.
