Jane Jacobs and Robert Moses:
Jane Jacobs vs Robert Moses: Urban Fight of the Century (Links to an external site.)
In the name of renaming the community, Robert Moses overlooked a plan to completely redesign and reorganize Greenwich Village in order for it to come out of a “slum”. Housing discrimination
Where housing is located contributes to education, neighbors, home ownership, etc. In one example, two identically qualifying males of a white race and one of minority where not given the same opportunity to view certain housing. This makes me think how communities with a high percentage of a single race are formed and organized, and by who.
