- What was observed?
- I observed girls who were walking around using technology and observed girls who were walking around not using technology. I wanted to compare and contrast the types of girls who were using technology and not using technology to see if the use of technology showed a pattern of more sexualized appearances.
- Why (how does it relate to your project)?
- This relates to my project because I discuss the effects of technology on young girls.
- What did you notice?
- I noticed that more often than not the girls who were consumed by their technological devices were wearing less clothing. They also appeared less self-conscious than the girls who weren’t on their phones and were more aware of their surroundings. Girl’s who were on their phones also walking more confidently than girls who weren’t on their phones.
- What else did you notice?
- I noticed that the individuals who were using their phones or other types of technological devices were not aware of their surroundings and the physical world around them. They were only focussed on the digital world.
- What does that mean/tell you?
- This shows me the power of technology on young individuals and the influence it has on the mind and development of the mind at a young age.
