Located in Roosevelt Island, Smallpox Hospital is a Gothic Revival structure designed by renowned American architect James Renwick,Jr. which opened to the public on December 18,1856. I chose this place because it is located in Southern Roosevelt Island, a quiet place where little people visit, and it is the only ruin that is being protected in NYC. There are some squirrels and goose there. And the view from Smallpox Hospital is beautiful. I went there during sunset and from the Smallpox Hospital I can see Manhattan and stunning skyline. The color of the sky was changing constantly, which makes me love this place. Smallpox Hospital
