I chose purple to began my color walk at Central Park because I thought the color was rare in winter and it would stand out in plain colors. Most of the purples I found were on people, like a violet hat with high saturation, an eggplant coat, gray purple bag, dark purple scarf, and a pair of light violet like periwinkle running shoes. I also found a horse with purple head decoration and purple-bordered saddle.  Then I changed to find color red, which was more common and easier to find. Standing on the hill overlooking Bethesda Terrace, there were about 7 people in red in my sight, although most people were in dark colors. Actually, the ground bricks of Bethesda Terrace were terra-cotta. My friend said she was wearing MAC’s Ruby Woo lipstick, the one in matte red. I noticed that there were a couple of ladders set along the lake and I found out they were for ice rescue. There came a beautiful ballerina in a red dress who danced so elegantly in an open space of Bethesda Terrace that I could feel the happiness and her passion about dancing. Red indicates importance, warn, and danger like the traffic light and fire department because red is very conspicuous and also joy, vigor, passion, love, and warm because red is vibrant so people develop their brands by using red as the primary color like the New School red, the MET, Yelp, Staples, etc.
