100 Drawings

HELLO FROM THE OTHER SIDE:

This group of work includes both narrative drawings and abstract drawings. They all bear something in common that there are counterparts, “one side” and “the other side”, within the information of these drawings, and things they depict are not realistic.

For example, this one is inspired by the “NO SIGNAL” sign on TV. It’s like someone from the other end is trying to pass some secret words to people from this side.

I use circle in these two works to give the viewer a sense of observation, like “peeping into another world”.

This one is kind of satire to the world of Internet that people are always on their phones so they say hi to each other by texting and emoji despite the fact that they are face to face.

IT’S MY LIFE:

Most of the works in this group are observational drawings that depict objects from my daily life.

DISTORTION AND CONSTRUCTION:

This group of works is about chaos, illusion, the distortion and construction of lines, and the distortion of reality. Most of them are out of imagination. It also includes two of my blind drawings so the line is continuous so the images are kind of distorted.
