My impression of the original pair of earrings is that it has a vintage and simple look, which is also the reason I purchased it. However, I decided to add tassel design to it to make it more lively and fun. I cut recycled plastic bag into thin strips and tie them together using thread. Finally I tie the tassels to the hoop of the earrings and the final look didn’t disappoint me.

The red and white from the plastic bag pair really well with the golden earrings. In addition, they add a almost amusing feel to the earrings that also reminds me of the tassels on each handles of the bike I owned when I was little. I like the movement it creates when I turn my head or when wind blows (yes, I tried them on and kept them on all day). I find this process very pleasing and thought that I could do the same thing with different scraps such as yarn, thread, paper… The item become more meaningful when you add a part of your mind to it.
