While going over all the information (images, videos, voice notes, sketches) I had collected about Lenox Hill I noticed that I saw an accumulation of large garbage bags lined outside the residential housing during all my visits. Specially when this was opposite a busy street such as one with a hospital situated nearby the congested traffic and piling up of trash bags created havoc in the area. It made it hard for pedestrians to walk through and even more troublesome for dog walkers or parents with their infants in strollers.
Thus I decided to apply SCAMPER to this issue and ultimately came up with an underground garbage disposal that could be opened and shut easily by garbage collectors. With the correct technology these shutters could me manually handled with a remote or just by a click of a button.
