After reading examples of ‘Stage 2’ from the book “The Design Process, by Karl Aspelund I got an insight as to how to make design decisions based on potential identified problems. This includes taking proper account of the interaction between products, systems, or processes you design and the people who use them.
With my project in mind I answered the questions with as much visual material as possible such as images , sketches as well as some text. This way I created a physical handmade collage or concept board of words and images.
Reflection- I found this assignment slightly hard since I felt that one image wouldn’t be able to capture the different requirements in the question. However after thoroughly searching the web, I managed to select images that not only got my idea across but also put it in context of my selected neighbourhood (Lennox Hill). I included sketches so that my design options and process could be seen as well as facts and findings from my research regarding garbage disposal.
