My final paper is about my parents Debbie and Paul Trout at my mother’s junior prom in the 1980’s. The paper discusses prom culture, the history and cultural context of the event, and breaks down their attire. My mother’s dress is the main topic of discussion as it was the focus of the garments worn that night. Lots of attetion is paid to ones prom dress, and so there for my paper reflects that. My paper breaks down the evening, and talks about the preperation that went into the prom itself. Overall the final paper taught me a lot about 1980’s culture as well as giving me more context about an event in my parents lives.
