Cross-Course Learning Portfolio Reflection Post Integrative Seminar 2

Throughout my first year I have created more 3D work and explored digital programs immensely. Working methods that crossed along all most courses were the steps and tools to plan and sketch the projects and their outcomes in both studio and seminar. My academic studies tend to drive my studio work to a higher level as it gives me tools to better develop the ideas that fuel the need to create a certain piece. Projects and papers that were more exciting were definitely the ones that were open but also structured. I enjoyed the guidance of a theme but was interested by the projects that required ambiguity and risk. A highlight from first year was my final project in both my studio and seminar of the first semester. These both included research that I was interested in and emotionally devoted to. These projects let me speak my mind visually about important narratives and stories that I may not be able to communicate verbally or literally.
