Perspective Silhouette Project

Udder Bliss: One Cow, Three Cats and Some (Very) Fresh Milk

It was difficult to simplify a complex photo into silhouettes. There are so many layers to an image because of its depth, so the challenge was figuring out how to preserve the perspective and make it recognizable in a simpler form. To create evidence of depth, I kept the most basic guiding lines of the floorboards leading to the door in the background. I struggled to define the cows without disturbing the silhouettes of the cats so I decided to abstract the cow and imply their presence with the patterned background.
