Project 1: The Poetics of Time

  1. When you see your bicycles from childhood, you see bicycles getting smaller and smaller, and it tells you your growth from childhood to adulthood.
  2.  My everyday habit is to put perfumes.
  3. In the morning my eyes are strongly and fully open, but by the time passes, my eyes are half closed and lose strength.
  4. Life is to create history. I draw history books to show that people spent “time” and created history.
  5. This shows human “knowledge”. On top there is only one line which demonstrates beginning of life(baby), and goes counterclockwise and ends with six lines which shows full of knowledge. By time passes, humans build up their knowledge and will have more wisdom in their lives.
  6. Movement of natures. I used natural colors which is green, blue, and orange/yellow. I expressed “wind”, “sun”, “water”, and “trees”.
  7.  When I was working on this assignment, I used up one of my sharpies which I bought at the beginning of the year. I strongly experienced times passing very quickly, and I realized time has never stopped even a second. It is always moving forward, and we are always living in time.
  8. Mapping my life: I visualized my life routine of casual days. I start from bed and go to school by car. Studying at school and go to shops to check new collections as often as possible to keep getting new ideas as a fashion major. After I get back home, I usually cook by myself to be as healthy as I can everyday.
  9. Lastly, whenever I am on the way to one place, I calculate which way is the fastest, and I always try not to waste my time including traffic lights.
