For my fourth studio bridge project, in groups, we were instructed to use two randomly picked materials and one found material to create a wearable product.
During this project, we quickly realized that not all materials did what we wanted them to. As a group, we learned the extent of the abilities and limitations of the materials we chose by testing different options and ways of using them. I think the result was very successful with our purpose and audience, however I think the process could have been changed. I think a little more exploration was necessary if we had the time to, because we jumped straight into making the product and thought less about logistics. We locked ourselves into specifically using the thick wire fencing which, upon reflection, was very difficult to work with and there might have been an alternate solution.
