My final project is a brochure that should help people who move to gentrifying areas, to be a better neighbour. I used a variety of Adobe programs for this project and also did a lot of fiel research in the concerned area in Bushwick. Furthermore, I was doing online research to find different opinions about people who are considered as gentrifiers and how they could gain a better reputation within the former residents of the neighbourhood. I decided to create a brochure like this because gentrification is a very contemporary issue and especially in New York all over the place. Moreover, I will move out of student housing this year and have to look for a new neighbourhood to live. Considering my budget I will probably have to move to an area where people consider me as a gentrifyer as well. However, I’m prepared.
