The image is entitled “Roof, 2016”
We can see 2 kind of metal pipes crossing over each other, considered as a roof and this is the main subject of the image.
Starting from the background, the sky looks almost white, then we can see a lot of greenery which compose most of the image.
The ground is dry, we can see dead plants, rocks and sand that oppose to the lively green color behind it.
Under the plants, there are a lot of containers, bottles and other small objects that give us a hint of someone living in that space. We can even almost see a blue shirt.
And between the plants and the ground, there are two larges pipes standing straight and then into a curve, crossing over each other.
The image was taken in 2016, probably in a desert.
I chose this image because I am aware that many people don’t have a house or roof to sleep under. But in this image I could guess that the person living there created this kind of “roof” just to have an idea of living under a roof even though this roof is almost useless: It won’t protect the person from the wind or the rain but it’s just there.
