Food, China, Surrealism are 3 major themes from my work.
I started off with a picture from his room, then using photoshop, I was able to create his ‘dream world’.
I enjoyed photoshopping him into the picture and adding to it until it came to life. the most challenging part was finding out what I was going to do with the pictures that I took and having an idea for this project.
I took more time than usual to figure out the idea, I only had the picture until week 1.
I wouldn’t be able to create this project without the collaboration, I got my idea for this project by visiting and re-visiting his house while asking some questions that really helped me throughout all the project.
Currently, I prefer open-ended works just because it allows viewers to perceive them as they want and not perceive them as the artist wants.
Because I was so stressed that I wouldn’t have an idea, I had a sense of achievement with this project after it was all put together.
One thing I would like to take from this project is not to stress out and find other ways to make it work.
