After getting some help from Katherine, I was able to get things to work and complete the assignment (and passed the photo above). It took lots of debugging — I have been cursed with some broken sensors and materials: it turned out my breadboard was damaged and affected the functionality of the sensors; regular click buttons don’t ever work for me; and my photo sensor gets some weird results.
