In your Sketchbook/Journal create the following entries:

  1. On the left hand side of your sketchbook/journal do the following writing exercise: using the new vocabulary (in blue above) from class, write a short paragraph describing what you did in class.  Use the following sentence starters for part of your paragraph: What I discovered when I used my erasure to draw was_____________.  What I found challenging was___________. What I liked the most about drawing with an erasure was___________.
  2. On either the right or left side of your journal entry for this week draw as large a box as possible with a ruler. Find and draw two objects next to each other that demonstrate scale.  Reverse the scale on your two objects. For example, if your objects are a mouse and an elephant,  draw the mouse so large (inside the box) that it makes the elephant look small. Be creative in your selection of two objects and how they relate together.  You can use either a pencil or pen.  Extra points for humor!
