For your first collage create something representational. Examples of this are the figure, landscape (urban or rural or something like a forest or the seashore) a still life, etc.

Teaching notes: remind students to glue to the edges of their collage shapes so when they wash their plates after inking water wont get underneath and cause the paper to curl.
