Rogier van der Heide a lighting architect talks about a new and innovative way to look at the world around us especially focusing on light. He gives many examples of the play of light around us and explains how it can be used in everyday life. He talks about how all the energy on the planet comes from the sun and how this energy can be used in our everyday lives. One thing that struck me was, that good light is only possible with darkness.

2. Introduction to James Turrell

James had his work displayed in an exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum, New York. The exhibition talks about the artists explorations of perception, light, color, and space, with a special focus on the specificity of his practice. It was inspiring to see his work and his way of working with different materials and technologies and the concept of light. It was indeed a short video but it gave a great insight.

3.My life as an outsider Hussein Chalayan

Hussein Chalayan is a fashion designer, who described himself as an “immigrant within various disciplines,” in the video. He uses different art forms and ways to make fashion different, giving it a more sustainable view point. Hussein likes to experiments with art, design, film, commerce and any other thing that comes his way. He comes up with innovative solutions to problems. I really liked the music that played throughout this video (even though it bis nor important for the assignment).
