On my tour, we will be going to five places where you can get a cheap but quality meal. Living in New York City is expensive and sometimes its hard to find a balance between buying art supplies vs clothes vs food so I have found several places that have really good food for cheap.
Stop #1: The Crooked Tree
This place is the most expensive place on the tour as it is a sit down restaurant; however, they have a brunch special that is $16. In this brunch special, you will receive coffee or tea + juice or a cocktail + salad or fries + your entree. This restaurant is a “crepery” but they have other sorts of food as well and I highly recommend the french fries.
Stop #2: Papaya Dog
There are several Papaya Dogs around the city but this is the closest one to where I live. Food here is very inexpensive. For example, you can get a cheeseburger with fries and a drink for $5.49.
Stop #3: Vinny Vincenz
This is my personal favorite because it is a block from my dorm and it is the cheapest stop on this tour. one slice of pizza is just $1 with no tax. You can get two pieces with a soda or a water for $2.95. You would think that the pizza would be bad because its only $1 but its actually pretty good and only costs $3 for a whole meal, thats a pretty good deal.
This is the sign that is outside their establishment that advertises their specials.
Stop #4: Bagel Boss
Bagels are my preferred breakfast because its fast not not extremely expensive. This place has breakfast special that make it even better. You can get eggs (any style), and a bagel or bread with a coffee or an orange juice for $3.75. The bagels are good and they offer a student discount!

Stop # 5: Champion Pizza
This place is across the street from the University Center. I really like this place when I have 30 minutes to get to my next class an I need a quick meal. When you buy two pieces of pizza, you get a free beverage which totals up tp about $6. They also have garlic knots and mozzarella sticks as well as many other choices. They have more of a variety than the Vinny Vincenz but is a little more expensive but worth it.
I am always looking for a cheap meal because New York is such an expensive city and good, inexpensive meals are hard to come by.
