- Smart Cities. I am not convinced that this is the way to go. It almost seems like and alternate reality. In theory it sounds like a good idea but like the video said these videos are more like a laboratory than a final product.
- Do the license plate readers violate civil liberties? Im not sure on one hand it makes me feel safe that they can access all this information on people that are wanted or have committed a crime bt on the other hand, what about the people that have done noting?
- I have seen several smart trash can around the city and I think that its a pretty good idea. One solar trash can can run for a year on the energy that it takes the garbage truck to go one mile. That was really shocking for me. I think the trash cans are a good idea they have saved Philadelphia 1 million dollars and workers can be focused on recycling instead.
- Each of the turbines os larger than the london eye. I didn’t even know it was possible to have turbines off shore so this ides is very interesting to me and would like to know a little more about it.
- This house uses solar, collects rain water, uses smart building materials as well as many other sustainable aspects. Living building certification. The building cost 30 million to build and create. while he building is really cool and sustainable, is it worth the price tag?
- Desalinization plant in San Diego can generate 50 million gallon of salt water every day. the plant will cost 1 billion to build and will be pumped all over. This process is very expensive and uses an extraordinary about of energy but I believe that over the course of many many years it will solve the drought problems California.
- Survalance cameras that count every pedestrian in the city. I am not a fan of this idea but I would like to know more. What is the purpose of knowing and basically tracking pedestrians in the city. There are some upsides that ic an see but most of what I can see are just creepy. They are going to start classifying gender and people with stollers. They turn video feeds into data. I and curious but not convinced.
- This video was a little scary. By 2030 there will be so much technology in the world. Its just a little scary to think about.
- Buildings shouldn’t just be something to look at they should be beautiful as wells functional. This building is very functional as well as beautiful.
- Less than 500 people live in this city. In theory I think its a good idea but are people really going to want to live here? I dont think I would want to liven a place like this all the time. it would be cool to visit but to lie permanently?
- The creator if the building calls it a piece of sculpture which I love the idea of this because I feel that buildings should be art. I like the idea of preserving the past with this museum.
- I love the idea of this bench because there are so many times when I’m out and I need to charge my phone but its a bench so it has multiple uses.
