For this project, I created a pencil case or a bag to hold art supplies. I used plastic bags that I had in my dorm most of which were made from recycled plastic bags from the University Center. Other bags that I used were from Duane Reade, CVS, Best Buy, etc. I cut the bags into strips and tied them together to make “yarn”. I used the yarn to crochet a rectangle. Then I folded the rectangle in half and sewed the sides together with another piece of “yarn”. I made three loops and attached them with ties onto the top. On the other side of the top, I created “buttons” with the leftover plastic strips by tying knots over and over to create a “button”. The loops reach other to the buttons to create a clasp.
