Ideas for Project

Constructed:

I am wanting to do a project as a meditation on the timeless balance between life and death, and how they exist as one. I am needing to narrow down this idea, but I would like to create images contrasting light, darkness, and an added human element as the middle ground between both to approach a symbolic form of timelessness encompassing all.

Montage:

For the montage I am uncertain of exactly what I want to do, but I like the idea of combining ‘natural’ elements with images taken in the cityscape, to juxtapose the concrete space we live in with greenery, while also conveying the idea that nature can and will still exist in spaces that we symbolically associate as separate from the natural world.

Inspiration:

I am incredibly inspired by Kate Breakey’s work. She explores concepts of death, and capturing an existence of animals and other living things through their deceased body or skeleton. Aesthetically, her style is very similar to what I would like to learn to do, and the ideas she explores are captivating, and have many spiritual elements added to them. Her composition, editing, and attention to detail create breathtaking images.
