Walk: Moss Me by Tomaz Hipólito
In this specific walk, the artist brought a mixture of yogurt and moss to give the participants. They were all allowed to walk around New York and paint objects with this specific mixture, allowing moss to grow on these spots. This group identified objects that were considered abandoned and reengaged with them.
The artist who was born in Lisbon has a background in architecture and visual art. He presents the participants with “a recipe for a green intervention amidst Manhattan’s dense urban landscape.”
