Visiting Artist: Amy Khoshbin
My impressions of Amy Khoshbin, who visited our Time class, was that she was very energetic and eccentric. The particular piece I really enjoyed of hers was The Scheherazade Project, which took inspiration from a folk lore about a king who was killing virgins and this woman saves herself and many others. I really liked the colors, costume, and inspiration behind the piece. The dancing in the video was very moving as you can tell it’s trying to tell a story. I think her brightness and energy is something I can put forward into inspiring my work, she is very creative and I want to put more dream like thoughts into my work.
