My video is about someone finding themselves in an unfamiliar area and wandering around and with the help of a map (and a few statues) finds their way back home.
This is the practice color video. I chose to focus on warm colors, primarily yellow.
Pudovkin’s 5 editing techniques were used in both videos. I mainly used contrast, parallelism, and simultaneity.
It was difficult to finalize my concept for this project. I had a lot of different ideas and wasn’t sure how I was going to execute them. I finally decided on the concept after my roommate Korissa called me one day because she couldn’t figure out how to get home.
My planning consisted of jotting down ideas for shots, but ultimately using my surroundings to determine how to frame scenes.
