Why does it matter?
Which piece in the graphic unit do you consider to be your strongest work? Explain your reasoning in a paragraph.
The piece in the graphic unit that I consider to be my strongest work is my cityscape with photoshop. I feel that i was able to present feelings and setting with color. I was also able to use shape and the use of space as a representation of feeling as well. It helped me to set rules and also make changes to my work, resulting in meaning and feelings that I have for two different kinds of dimensions in the same area.
Which piece in the graphic unit would you want to edit? Explain your reasoning in a paragraph.
The piece in the graphic unit that I would want to edit would be my collages – I feel that I am able to execute it better with the use of a color palette, and use of more structures and lines. Some of my collages seemed out of place and/or jumbled up. The kind of execution I wanted for my collages was to convey a set of photos and/or feelings relative to each other. Although I thought that I could’ve represented Gestalt Theory better, I believe that an important aspect that I should focus on in my work is the way I place objects or order things.
What now?
What skills or ideas from the graphic unit will you look forward to working with in the future? Why?
I am looking forward to work with Photoshop – for many reasons, to alter places, people, and shapes. I want to be able to alter an idea of something to make it an idea of something else. By using a basis to start off, I hope that I could render a form and give it a different feeling to the viewer and to myself. Generally, I wish to gain more knowledge about Photoshop and be able to incorporate it into my artwork.
